The Kabuto Lantern

Shaped like a samurai helmet: a domed crown, a peaked crest, and a flared brim that rings the middle like a neck guard. Tall carved slots and pinholes cut through the dark glaze, so when it's lit, the lantern throws bars and dots of light across the wall. It stands guard in the garden after dark.
